How to Detect Leakage in Transformer Oil Tanks

Oil tank leak detection, also known as leak testing, is commonly used in two ways: water testing and gas testing; It is the method used by the transformer oil tank manufacturer to test whether the oil tank is qualified.

Oil tanks are generally divided into two types: radiator type and corrugated plate type.

After the corrugated plate is welded to the tank body or bolted to the tank body, install the tank cover onto the tank, block all holes on the tank cover, retain an oil level gauge or pressure hole, install an air gauge or pressure gauge, fill or inflate the tank with water. Within 2 hours, the pressure gauge value will weaken by no more than 5% (depending on the specific process of each factory), and then check the surrounding area of the tank to see if there is water. If there is no water, it is qualified.
